Cafe Be’Ivrit is the story of my life, and the story of so many others for whom Hebrew is a bridge to Israel, to identity, and to belonging.

I was born and raised in Tel Aviv, and for many years I have been teaching Hebrew and working in Jewish schools and synagogues across the United States. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping students of all ages connect to Hebrew not just as a language, but as a living, breathing part of their Jewish life.

Cafe Be’Ivrit began in a small garage in Mountain View, in the heart of Silicon Valley, with a simple but powerful dream: to create a space where Hebrew is not just something you study, but something you live.

For many of us, Hebrew is more than words. It is a way to live our Jewish identity, to feel connected, and to truly belong — no matter where we are in the world.

At Cafe Be’Ivrit, we believe that three things are essential in life: Connect. Belong. Communicate.

These are not just words, they are the heart of everything we do.

Today, Cafe Be’Ivrit is powered by a wonderful team of exceptional teachers, special people with deep experience in teaching Hebrew, a true love for education, and a shared passion for building meaningful connections with every student.
